who has read alll three..ive read the first 2..and i took all 3 out from the library today and im ponderin wheather to read the book before or after the movie..will it ruin it for me..is it worth it..etc..i dont wanna spoil for myself yet im soo tempted to read it!!..help??

I did. It took me a long time to finish but I did it. I can't remember ever being that happy about finishing a book.

I've read all 3 and they're great, of course, but its up to you wether you want to read them before or after the movies...well, last movie. If you want to vision things your own way before seeing the movie then read them first, of not, then wait.

I've read all three five times in the past year and a half. I have also read The Silmarillion, The Hobbit and about half of The Unfinished Tales.

I have read the books thrice. The first time took me half a year, and the others took me about two months each time. The movies have inspired me to re-read them over and over. I read them anually now.

my mum is a huge fan of the books so for x-mas
she got me the complete set, i tried reading the fellowship but i got bored.
then i met my new best friend sarah who is a
big fan of both books and
movies and she comveinced me to re-reading them
so i have started to fellowship again, and i am really enjoying it.
i feel kinda outta place here, i mean you ave read
all the books and i am only on the first one.

Don't worry about it the books are great keep reading them I'm on my second time throgh..but thats becuase I read them all before the movies even started then I have read each one right before the movie comes out. I remeber I finished TTT while I was in the teater wainting for the movie to start lol. So right now Im reading the RotK and I have to read a chapter a night to get it lol. But the books rock and the movies arnt to bad themselfs. heheh God Bless!!

As for not knowing a lot about the books, thats ok. To have a basic understanding, all you have to do is watch the movies.

i have a pretty good unferstanding, because i
have heard the books on tape, i never
finised i got as far as the ents, and my
mum is a HUGE! fan of the books and seems
to have all the answers.

I've read them all twice and i'm workin on reading them again before ROTK comes out. I read them for the first time when I was 8.
